Measure Your Results for a Good Marketing Strategy
Humans use tools to measure. When we can measure and create predictable, repeatable results of our actions, we can easily understand its value. By understanding how well an action works, we can keep using that action. An action is done using a process, a system, a teachable/usable strategy. DOING something repeatedly that gets desired results keeps you on a success path.
For example, suppose you write blog posts on high authority guest sites. The high authority guest sites already have faithful followers of that blog. So, when you can get your content read by that blog’s faithful followers, you have new eyes to learn about you. If they like what they read in your guest blog post, they may want to visit your website and see what other things you have to share. That is a great start at getting people to follow you.
However, just getting new people to read your content is not enough. Your content must create desire for your products/services. If the story you tell in your guest blog post on those high authority guest sites compels those new readers to visit your website, that’s a step in the right direction. But you must still offer them something different and new that helps them. The more you share your experiences, instruction and information that helps them solve their problem, the more you increase chances of them converting and becoming your customer.
Okay, so suppose this has happened for you. You intentionally decided to do a guest blog posting. You start to see sales increase on your website. You check the statistics of when you started to make money. You’re keeping close track of what you are doing to drive the RIGHT traffic to your website.
As you notice the analytics improving, it’s important to notice how you made those analytics improve. When you’re doing any type of marketing, each thing you do differently is like an experiment. It’s important to test and experiment until you get the BEST possible results. When you keep doing what works, THAT is YOUR best marketing strategy.
A marketing strategy that works will be different for each individual business. What works for one business may not work as well for another. That’s why it’s important to keep track of the numbers when sales increase. For this reason, keep measuring the results.
Keep asking yourself can these sales numbers go higher? How much more desire can I create for my unique product/service? What can I do differently to raise those numbers? The more you test, the more you know. The more you know, the more successful you can become.
Keep measuring. Eventually, you’ll uncover the strategy that works best for your business.
